RELATIONSHIPS
We are enhancing the relationships as owner stores, between stores and
vendors, and with other organizations. We are discovering cooperative
activities with other industry organizations that have independent stores
as members.
SERVICES
We are supporting our owners with marketing, campus relations, product
forecasting, fiscal, freight, staff development, merchandising, consulting
and other retail management services.
MERCHANDISE
We are creating programs that are unsurpassed in apparel, giftware,
raingear, consumer electronics, computer products, school and office
supplies, fine art supplies, merchandise bags, dated goods, writing
instruments, and more. There are lots of 'buying groups'in this business.
We are not one of them. ICBA, The Selling Group.
EDUCATION
We provide the best opportunity for interaction at multiple levels of store
management through our Annual Meeting, ICBA regional meetings, Internet and
web-based learning and training systems. Our culture as Independent stores
delivers a value unavailable in any other venue. ICBA is the coming
together of owners and decision makers prepared to openly, freely and
enthusiastically share operational improvements, and a commitment to
putting our schools and students first.
TECHNOLOGY
We are using today's technology to deliver ICBA's benefits and value to our
