ICBA Retail Conference
Through the annual ICBA Retail Conference stores come together for mutual sharing and growing the business. The annual Retail Conference consists of business meetings, professional development and/or ICBA Institutes, social and formal business networking, Business Encounter, PRIMEtime and PowerHall.
ICBA Professional Development Institutes
The ICBA Institutes consist of multi-day hands-on learning sessions focused on improving and expanding skills. Taught by professionals and colleagues from inside and outside of the industry, the curriculum-driven ICBA Institutes not only cover basic foundations for success like return on investment, assortment planning, financial analysis, marketing and merchandising, but also investigate core product category and critical issues.
PRIMEtime, PowerHall and Business Encounter
In additional to professional development, the ICBA Retail Conference features innovative and effective ways to strengthen relationships with vendors via face-to-face, private meetings.
With ICBA PRIMEtime , PowerHall and Business Encounter your store improves professional skills, increases profits and advances your store to further success. ICBA goes well beyond “typical”. During private, one-to-one PRIMEtime 20-, 30-, or 40-minute and PowerHall 10-minute vendor meetings you initiate your own business agenda and explore new products, promotions and marketing opportunities. You also discover how ICBA resources and the Commit-Buy-Sell Programs bring you more customers, improve sales and raise your buying standards. Business Encounter hosts small-group meetings between resource vendors and store directors.
Regional and Special Workshops
ICBA offers educational workshops that draw from some of the core concepts taught in the ICBA Professional Development Institutes as well as critical timely subjects. Workshop topics have included leasing, open-to-buy, buying programs, implementing great ideas, marketing and merchandising, vendor negotiations and others. Workshops are designed to address area needs, hot topics and support institutional store success.
