Operating Survey
ICBA Operating Survey
The ICBA Operating Survey is a defining example of the institutional store culture to share success towards mutual improvements. The ICBA Operating Survey provides confidential details specific to each store and is used for benchmarking, strategic planning and networking. This resource provides stores with a roadmap for continued success, solid measures of performance, opportunities to connect with other stores and to learn from one another.
Considered to be one of the most valued membership benefits, the ICBA Operating Survey is available to all Independent College Bookstore Association member stores that choose to participate. Each year at the annual conference in February, stores achieving outstanding financial performance are recognized for their accomplishments.
- Awards for the 2008-2009 Best Practices and Top Performers were given at the ICBA 2010 Retail Conference & PRIMEtime in San Antonio, Texas. Seven of ICBA's outstanding stores were recognized for demonstrating excellence through internal leadership, strategy development and execution.
Due September 30
The deadline for submission of your store’s completed Operating Survey is September 30. Due to the complexity of and time involved in troubleshooting, editing, analyzing and reporting results, surveys received after September 30th may not be included in the survey report. Exceptions will be made for stores with fiscal years ending after June 30th. In the Fall, directors receive an email with instructions, supporting files and a link to submit the survey online. To prepare you, here is an old SAMPLE of Instructions, Certificate of Confidentiality and the Survey Questionnaire.
